Wednesday-

We just got back from a clinic appointment and all went well-- he looks really good and feels really good-- They took blood and then sent it off while we waited-- Dr. L came in and thought he looked great and was pleased that he was eating-- He left to go get the CBC results and his white blood cell count was .1!! We were both a little shocked that he is feeling that well-- considering last time-- he hemoglobin count was good too-- We have to go back on Friday to check again and see if we need to get platelets before the weekend-

Pat came to visit today and kept asking Grier to walk-- he would just smile and say "I can walk" and Pat wanted him to show her-- well, he did!! He took a few steps to her and then back to me-- She also told him about the Children's celebration at church in June and he is very excited about that-- I think he thinks it is this afternoon!!

Check out the www.gogriergo.com site-- there are new pictures under Community Support!!

Just checked out the "Community Support" on the gogriergo web site and I don't mind telling you, the pictures brought tears to my eyes. How do those without a church family to support them endure? I can't even imagine.
Grier, guess what? I saw all your friends having their picture taken on Sunday on the green with their GRIER hats on! They looked awesome! We all love you so and we hope we will get to see you back at Covenant very soon. Cody misses you. And I am... Cody's Granny!

Hooray for Grier walking today and hooray for a good checkup!! Life is good for the Christenburys at the moment! Our unending prayers for Grier are being answered daily as we marvel at how well he is doing. Our prayers for your family are being answered too as we continue to be amazed by your strength! Keep up the good fight -- you're all winners in our book!

Love and prayers,

Amy,

Can not believe Grier took steps today...whoa, you'd better batton down the hatches before the running begins again! He's going to be back to his old tricks in no time...yeah!

So glad today went well aside from the WBC count being low...as long as Grier is feeling well...just keep him away from the rest of us "sickies!" We could not be happier for you and Jeff and Grier. What a relief to know that things can go right and head in the right direction!

Of course, we'll continue our hourly prayers and thoughts for Grier. There isn't one prayer that takes presidence...he's on top! Glad to hear his mood is as well!

Look forward to seeing you soon...as always...lots of love and prayers!
Dina

Amy,
It is so great that Grier walked today!!! John and I were talking last night (and smiling!) about how much ground he would cover when running around at the basketball games this winter--and how fast! So now he's getting back on track with his talking AND walking.
You are all in our constant thoughts and prayers. Hope you guys get good rest tonight and that tomorrow is a great day!

Oh, I just LOVE the new "wallpaper" on the bulletin board page - it is so cheerful and much more representative of the little Grier we all know and love! We are so happy to hear about Grier's continued good days and his "steps" in the right direction. I hope todays clinic visit was smooth and had positive results.

Everywhere I go, people want to know (is that a cheer or something?) about our Grier bracelets and/or hats and everyday I meet someone that is a friend of a friend of a friend of the Christenbury family and they have all joined in the prayer chain for Grier's healing. It's truly amazing! Yesterday was one of those "can't catch my breath days" as I read, as I do everyday, about Grier, I was able to see Drew in the flesh with my own two eyes and I attended the sweetest baby shower for my old friend, Rob and Katherine Vest, who have just adopted twin boys born 12 weeks prematurely. All of you are miracles and such an inspiration and really help keep my life in perspective. Amy, so many people have said this to you and I want to join them in thanking you for sharing your feelings and thoughts with us on the blogspot and for helping us help you along this journey. Your family is such a treasure and although the initial shock of Grier's diagnosis has softened, you all continue to weigh very heavy on my heart and mind every day.

Tomorrow morning we will participate in the GBS 5K in honor of Hannah and Grier and Drew and Alex and Henry and all of our precious friends who are fighting hard every day. We hope to see you on the soccer fields - y'all have a great weekend!

Love, Nancy
