We made it the entire week!!!

We are back from a great vacation in North Topsail with family and friends-- I did not blog all week because I knew it would jinx us and we would have to come home for some reason!! And except for giving alot of medicine while we were there, it was like Cancer never entered our lives for a week!

Grier had a fun time playing in the sand-- we wrapped his Hickman up with plastic to protect it and he was fine-- he could not swim in the pool but he did not seem to mind-

Hayes and Grace had a blast with all the visitors-- I think they enjoyed the nightly game of the "name" game the best-- that was an Anne and Susanne suggestion!!

Pictures were taken by Keely-- it was so windy I can not wait to see what they look like!!

Dinner was cooked almost every night-- and lots of fun memories were made -- Thanks for all the calls and emails checking in on us-- I think some of you were more nervous about the week than I was!

Grier goes to clinic on Monday and we will find out the plan for the week-- Round 4 is next and I think we are ready to get it over with-- I told Dr. L that we have spent every holiday at the hospital since March 26-- so I guess July 4th will be celebrated from the tower!

Amy & Jeff,
I am so happy to hear that you were able to have your family vacation!! I know it had to be great for all of you to be able to feel some sense of "normalcy" and have your family all together. I know Grier must have just loved it-what a blessing that you were able to be there all week. We will be thinking about your appointment tomorrow and continuing to pray for you all. Just so happy to hear you were able to go to the beach- you know there is not better therapy out there :)- Jennifer

Amy,
I was just about to email you and thought to check the blog one last time before bothering you. So glad to hear that vacation was awesome! How happy you all must have been, epsecially Grier, to be away from the "norm" for a brief time! I thought about you all week and tried my best not to bother you with calls, emails, etc. Just know that you all are tops on our prayer list and thought of nonstop! Hope you all enjoy the "sunkissed" cheeks, precious pictures and special memories from this week away.

Also, Willow emailed me re: Grier to check in and send warm thoughts your way!

Love and prayers to you all...
Dina

The Norvells are so happy to hear that the beach trip went well. Hoping you all had some time to relax and just enjoy your family. I am sure you had some good laughs and hopefully were able to catch up on a little sleep. It is amazing how a week away from home can renew your energy and outlook.

We continue to pray for you all and are hoping to get to have Grace over soon at a time that works for you all. The last thing I see before I go to bed is the Covenant Church and I say a pray for you all every night. Praying an extra prayer tonight that your appointment goes well tomorrow. Know that we are wearing our Go Grier Go bracelets and thinking of you.

Amy,
So glad you had fun in the sun last week! Happy to hear that Grier enjoyed himself, that Hayes and Grace had loads of fun, and hope that you and Jeff and Maggie and other friends had time to relax and enjoy life! I thought about you all week and hoped things were going so well you didn't have time to blog -- sounds like that was true! I hope and pray that everything goes smoothly this week for Grier. I'll be thinking of you all.

To Grier's Family,
I am a friend of Janet's and I have been so touched by your little guy and by all of you. You have been honest about your struggles, but you have shown great courage and spirit that have been a blessing to me! I entrust you all to God's care regularly!
