Grier is getting platelets and blood right now--- I guess it is a good thing we are in patient at LCH--- because it was bound to happen and because the whole process takes 6-7 hours it is easier to be in a room-
He is in pretty good spirits-- only once last night did he have a fever of 100.7-- and he slept fairly well-- except for being touched every hour-
We are going to start him an appetite stimulant today-- he is down to 35lbs-- from 40-- :( I can not wait to see how it helps-
This weekend we are going to try something new-- Grace is playing soccer in Charleston and we had planned to all go as a family--- but relapse happened.... and we have not done anything we have planned in awhile--- BUT we are going to try to have fun with Hayes and Grace this weekend as Grier has fun at CAMP LCH with Maggie- It will be a little different but since he is not getting chemo and really just sitting there waiting for his counts to go up it will be a good weekend to spend with the other two -- And the new rule at LCH-- no one under 18 allowed did help with the decision to go--
Wish us luck as we go play soccer and Grier has Camp at the Hospital--

Ready, Set, GO!
Wishing you ALL a fever free weekend. Two thumbs up for Grace and her team. Be sure to get a picture of Hayes watching from the sidelines -- for a change.
Thinking of you all,

Double thumbs up and big toes too from us all here in PA for a fun weekend of soccer and Grier fever free. Athan has taken an appetite stimulant for years for poor weight gain since his preemie years. IT WORKS and he still takes it and is now seven. Without it he does not feel hungry. I know how scary such quick weight loss is when you are only 40lbs. Athan takes periactin (it has another long fancy name cyproheptadine. I am the queen of weight gain for little guys if I can help at all let me know. I hope your weekend goes well with some sleeping for you, fun soccer for Grace, and food cravings and no fevers for Grier.

Hope the tournament went well. My husband was in Charleston this weekend to visit our son at the College of Charleston and he said it was beautiful there. I am praying that Grier had a great weekend as well.

Am still reeling from the story about trying to get in a door at the hospital -- you all needed a weekend without doctors and gatekeepers. Hope the weather was beautiful for the games and I know Grier must have enjoyed having Maggie all to himself. One down.
xxoo.
Ashley.
