peaceful, quiet... charlotte!

We made it home today!! Thanks to Corporate Angels for an uneventful flight--
Grier is doing fine-- his eating has picked up and I do not see any signs of withdrawal from dilaudid yet-- We are having one issue--- all of a sudden he is having a reaction ( welt-like) to the shots he was given last week-- I saw one this morning at the airport-- and then after baseball 3 more showed up on the other leg-- weird-- I hope the benadryl stops the itching and makes the swelling go down-- Always something--
We made it to Hayes' game and I am glad since he hit a home run (out of the park!!) Go Steel Fab!-- We ended up staying around the field some extra time since it was so peaceful to be outside-- even the walk back to my house was quiet with only sounds from the birds!! I was so glad not to hear honking!!

Looks like our week will be pretty normal-- We will start accutane on Monday-- and get our HAMA test done MAY 1st--- I was told there is a good possibility that it will positive again-- but we will worry about that later-- We are scheduled for round 4 on May 12th if he is HAMA negative-

Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes this week-- Hopefully my updates will be weekly for awhile with no news to report-- We are going to try to get back to school soon-- he keeps asking and I think he is ready-- I will post some pictures soon if that happens--

Go, Grier, Go!! and all those other kids fighting this fight!!

Glad you are home safely. Hope those withdrawal symptoms stay away, and that he remains HAMA negative!

Thinking of you all today...so glad to know you're back safe & sound "free!" Go Hayes! Out of the park...awesome!

Hopeful the welts will go away as mysteriously as they appeared and that Grier will be HAMA negative for the next testing. Ever-so-hopeful that Accutane goes well this week and Grier is able to go to school VERY SOON! Only 6 more weeks remaining...let's hope he can come back since he's excited about it...who would have thought he'd be ready to flee from your shadow? We will ALL certainly welcome him back with wide smiles and open arms!!!

Please call if there is anything I can do to help with re-entry this week.

Lots of love & prayers...
Dina

Happy that you are safely home and got to enjoy baseball and peacefulness this afternoon! Way to go, Hayes! So glad you all were there to see that!

Hope to see you in carpool this week -- we're hoping to get more magnets to hawk in the carpool line!!

Sleep well tonight in your own beds!

Love and prayers from just across the park!

Glad to hear everyone is back at home and ready to enjoy spring time in Charlotte. I really hope that Grier gets to join his friends at school soon. Congratulations, Hayes! I'm sure Grandpa Joe was cheering you on. Hope all goes on as scheduled. Sue

Sorry I have not blogged. Please know I was with you every minute. I was out of town and just could not get to a computer.
Glad to hear you are all home safe. That is great about Hayes. I know how excited you are for him.
I will hope that things go well this week and really hope to see Grier at school.
Try to get some rest and enjoy your beautiful family.
Lots of love to you all,
Mary Ellen

Amy, you're so modest not to mention that Hayes' Home Run was a 2 Run Home Run in the bottom of the 8th for a Walk-Off Win for Steel Fab ....!!
And the Best thing was that all the Christenburys were there to see it and join the crowd in cheering for Hayes and his team.
What a great game. See you at the park this week !
