Easter Sunday and a SLUMBER party--

Easter was a little (actually A LOT!) different this year. We spent it as a family here at CMC—Ms. Pat came and brought a little Easter to us from Covenant—Covenant is very lucky to have her- She told us about the service, brought flowers to the nurses that were in the temple and said she saw some Go Grier Go T-‘s on the first floor!!

We went for a walk on the greenway with Grier—it was a little chilly but he enjoyed himself and Hayes and Grace had fun too—Hayes went fishing again at Charlotte Christian with Bill—he is trying to catch a big fish that broke his line earlier this week! Grace stayed busy too and had some time with Jeff at home- Grier and I hung out and watched Happy Feet and Cars-

Grier is feeling?? -- He is very cranky at times—having tantrums like I have never seen before! He has a rash that is making him itch so he is uncomfortable. He did eat some chicken soup, mashed potatoes, and green beans- and a bagel (by request!) He is off all monitors and only has one IV – we are making progress-

We had some visitors and then a friend drove me home to take a shower!!

Hayes and Grace wanted to sleepover at CMC so we had a sleepover in room 7914!!

Visitors are still OK—but if you are sick at all or have been around anyone who has been sick just call instead—his counts are getting low- Thanks to all—I am reading the blog—it is easier to read than email!

Dear Amy and Jeff-
I admire you both so much. You are honest, open, courageous and sensitive--- all qualities which are no doubt providing remarkable support and comfort to Grier, Hayes and Grace. And Amy, what a gift you are giving to us all through your blog updates. Talk about generous to the core- you are! You two are on the front lines of a fierce battle, and Grier couldn't be luckier to have you guys as his top commanders in chief.
Love, Alex

Dear Amy and all,
We continue to check for updates each day, and we are thankful for your generonous nature in providing us with information. Your strenth and attitude is inspiring to me. I just think of the big smile you always have on your face at church no matter what task you are facing, and I know you carry yourself the same way with this battle. We will continue to pray for you, and we will cheer "Go Grier Go," "Go Amy Go." We are glad you had some positive time for Easter. We hope Grier continues to get a little better each day.

Love to All,
Leslie Olds

Amy, Thank you so much for the updates you are writing. In the midst of everything else you're doing, you do such a great job giving information and details. The updates really help all of us who care about Grier and your family. How nice to picture you all outside for awhile on the Greenway. Go Grier Go.
