Here is a quick recap of the weekend----
Saturday we woke up after a long night with broken sleep--- Grier even woke up at 6:30am-- Every other day I was waking him up to leave for the PDH around that time!!! He almost fell out of the "magic bed" but was saved in the nick of time!! We ended up walking to the zoo and then walking around central park--- then came back to the ronald late that afternoon-- LOTS of walking!!
Sunday was much of the same--- there is a LOUD grumble in the walls EVERY morning at 5:33am!!! Who knows what it is??? I have only heard it in this fine room ... 807-- It woke Grier up and he asked what that noise was??? Then he could not go back to sleep--!! We finally got up and going late morning-- headed to Lenny's for a bagel and then went to Times Square-- While walking we hunted for a NY Giants shirt for the boys---YOU would not believe how hard that was to find-- we finally made it to Toys R Us-- to buy a basketball goal for the door--!!! Then we headed back towards the Ronald-- but had a detour after a tip on Giants gear-- Still no luck so we headed home-- we were starving and Grier did not want to eat ---just wanted to go play with his toy!!!
We watched the game--- Grier fell asleep!!! And after the game was over we got to hear ALL of NY rejoice in the streets!!! It was entertaining!!! Go Blue!!!
We woke up this morning after another night of broken sleep-- Grier almost fell out of bed again--- !!! We got to the PDH at 7-- and got back at 9:20--after a brisk walk in the rain and SNOW--- It all went fine except he woke up from anesthesia really bad!!! He screamed and cried for an hour and nothing could make him happy!!! He just wanted a Nutra Grain bar!!! He finally settled down and packed a Nutra Grain bar in his stroller so he can eat it after the second time (2:30) he gets his WHITE medicine!!! So... here we sit waiting for the clock to get to 1:30 so we can head back to the PDH and get on with this day!!!!

It's probably been a while since you and your mom were able to have some "girl time". I know you guys enjoyed the walks, people watching, and laughs. Glad to hear Grier is bossing you around...means he's feeling like himself! The story of him waking up during the night asking about the noise reminds me of the story last April when he kept waking up during the night ... "Mom, what's that noise?"..."Go back to sleep Grier, It's just Maggie snoring!" Still makes me laugh.
Hope this week of Radiation goes smoothly for you all!

Let us know if there is a room # now to send cards to as mine was returned. I think I had 904 on it.

So the Giants owe Grier a big one for giving them the win, don't you think?? Oh and don't forget to call ESPN tomorrow - they may need a new analyst :)

Thinking about you today and hoping that you got a little warmer weather for all your walking back and forth. Grier just continues to amaze me with his strength and attitude - what a hero he is!

Love to you and your Mom.

Before we even got to the wild game on Sunday we saw two great basketball games on Saturday. We're sure you've heard all the details of Hayes and Grace's games... The Sidlovsky's joined us in going to Grace's game and I'm so glad we got to see her play ! We usually see Grace watching Hayes play so it was fun to turn it around. She's a great basketball player, very focused and determined. We had a good time.
We were really hoping it would be a good game Sunday Night for the Super Bowl, and it was a Great Game. Can't argue with the outcome knowing that Grier had given the prediction and it was what he was hoping for. We're glad that the Super Bowl Win made NYC a special place to be right now.
Your schedule is unbelievable, it's amazing how much gets packed into a day.
Hope there are some more good times in the days ahead, as you get the things you have to do done.

Sounds like a full weekend...you must be kidding me, snow! I think we've just about dismissed the thought of getting snow this year here. Suits me fine...I'd love it for the children; but, I'm ready for warm weather now!

So sorry Grier did not wake up well from the anesthesia. Adam had that experience in a really bad way last April. They said it happens more in boys aged 3-8 than any other group...very strange and very hard to console. Hope the rest of your day went on without incident.

Thinking of you tons...hoping for more "do-able" days and another day under your belt!

Lots of love...
Dina
