We survived more than 24 hours of no power at home this weekend!!! We were all ready to pack up and go to my Mom's on Sunday night and then the power came back on!!! -- needless to say it made the weekend interesting-- Jeff and I gave IV meds by candlelight!!
Grier had a check up today. We will go back to the clinic tomorrow for a blood transfusion. We could have stayed today but would not have been done by 5-- I think going back tomorrow will be better-- Grier can only manage for about 2 hours in the clinic before he goes stir crazy! He made a necklace today with the Child Life Specialist. It is called a beads of courage necklace-- you get a bead that represents every procedure that you have had at the clinic or the hospital-- It is a really neat program and Grier had fun making it-- His necklace is full!!! It really puts all those procedures in perspective-- he has been through a lot -- I will try to post of a picture of him wearing the necklace soon:)
His counts are still dropping and he has not hit his low point yet. He is still on TPN ( nutrition by IV) and other meds- His has lots of energy and is really acting like a 3 year old boy!!
Grier Martin Christenbury(age 2 1/2) was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma on Tuesday, March 27, 2007- This blog is to help family and friends know how he is doing with treatments. Go Grier Go! www.caringbridge.org/visit/grierchristenbury

I am so happy to hear he is acting like a three year old. I think you all should be wearing beads of courage. We think of you everyday and hope that our good thoughts and prayers are reaching you. Remember we are here for any need you may have.
Go Grier Go. Today I was at the bank and the teller asked me about my bracelet. I told him about Grier and he said he was going to pray for him. I thank God for people like that.

I'm so glad to hear that his spirits and energy are up! We all still pray for all of you daily. I still have my bracelet on every day. One day I didn't have it on and I felt naked!! Give Grier, Hayes and Grace hugs and kisses from the Shroyers!
Love,
Lesley
Glad Grier is feeling good enough to act his age! We're missing him at Bible school this week, but we're still praying for him!

Your news sounds great. I am glad you are home. We just returned from our week trip to Iowa to see Grandma Fox and we left with lots of people praying for Grier and your family. Will be thinking you all in the weeks to come with your scan and test and pray for a positive news.
Love
Netha and all
