NO more clowning around!
I have called the clinic twice today to see if the papers that needed to be faxed were faxed to NY-- I am sure they are sick of hearing from me-- but after yesterday when I picked up the phone and called MSKCC myself and had no problem getting through I decided I was going to do this myself! So far, they are working on them but I am going to call around 4 to see if they are done-- weeks have been wasted! This was prompted by a conversation yesterday while at CMC, the doctor on rounds came by and said they were trying to get in touch with Sloan-- and I casually said -- when I get home I will try too! He said that he would be surprised if I got to them but go ahead--- WELL---SURPRISE Dr. ????! No stings were pulled--just dialed a number on the WEB page!
Grier is doing fine at home-- He is eating great in my opinion but we will see what the Dietitian says on Monday when she looks at the food journal I have to keep on him-
Antibiotics are going well too--
Update!! As of 4:15 and SEVERAL calls later back and forth to clinic to MSKCC-- they have faxed the paper to NY and NY has it! :) Now let's hope FEDEX gets the rest to them on Monday-

They better watch out up in the big city, because Amy is coming to town! You, go, Girl! I hope for CMC's sake that they have done what they were supposed to do! So sorry that the meds schedule is so exhausting, but if it keeps Grier on track and at home, I know you know it is well worth the lack of sleep! We'll keep our fingers crossed that things progress with getting the surgery scheduled! Let me know what we can do.
Love, Nancy
Maybe we should have a bracelet made for you that says GO GIRL GO.
What a lucky boy to have a family that are such wonderful advocates. So glad you got to the festival. Hayes and Grace have grown so much. All 3 are just beautiful. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Amy,
Boy, they have no idea who they're dealing with! The only way to get something done, as all moms know, is to do it yourself...you're the best at getting things done! Whenever someone falls short, you are right there to straighten things out and get it done properly. It truly is hard to believe that your simple phone call to a public number went through the first time and every other "connected" person can't get through on their "Bat Phone." Well, Grier is surely being served well once more by a mommy who doesn't take no for an answer. I am sorry that you feel like precious time has been wasted, and I'm certain I would feel the same; however, just think how much more time you've been able to save with your strengths and perseverance (sp?). You and Jeff are amazing advocates for sweet Grier!
So glad you all got to go to the festival...beautiful days! How cool it must be to have it take place so close to you...maybe not the overflow parking, but what a neat few days to experience and look forward to every year. Sounds like it's quite a tradition for you all.
Hoping for a great weekend of fun for you all in hopes that next week will bring initial preparations for heading north! As always, my blogs are long (the longest, so sorry) yet filled with
Lots of Love & Tons of Prayers...
Dina
Amy,
Lets just hope FedEx does their job on Monday!!! Sometimes it just takes a MOM to get it all done. I can only imagine how anxious you and Jeff are to get things going on the next step. We continue to pray for you all daily. God Bless your sweet chilren and family. Grier's sweet little face makes me smile. I pray for you continued strength, you are an amazing woman. Hopefully you get a wink now and then and hopefully next week will bring some answers!

Amy,
You go on with your bad self! Those doctors should know by now not to get between a Mom and the best interests of her child!! Thank you for taking the time to keep all of us updated. Love to you all!
Love,
Lesley
Wow! You have certainly earned lots of stars in your MOM crown for all you've done for Grier. They are right when they say sometimes the only way to get something done right is to do it yourself. :) Hope they get everything else rolling quickly!
