Day 2 is over--- He did well--- his pain was more intense but did not last as long-- He is still sleeping-- we did go out for a brief walk to blockbuster-- but he slept the whole time-- It is really wiping him out this time--
We met the researcher responsible for 3F8 (Dr.Cheung)-- It was interesting to met him-- we have always heard about him-- He told us promising things about this therapy--- I hope he continues to work on new developments-- he seems to have a passion for finding a cure for NB!
Looking forward to the morning-- Grier will lively again and ready to go back for day 3!

Glad to hear that Grier had a good day, which means that you and Jeff also had a good day! You are certainly lucky to be under the care of the research hospital where so much is going on for NB and to meet the principal researcher is neat! Your family is part of major research being done on NB -- cool and wonderful!! Only wish it was being done here in Charlotte rather than NYC!! Maybe some day...
Hope it was beautiful in NYC like it was here today -- getting back to normal April temps tomorrow after the possibility of a freeze tonight! Good thing I haven't planted a single flower in my yard yet!!!
Wishes for a wonderful day tomorrow with manageable or no pain for Grier. Sleep well tonight.
Love and prayers for you all,
Betty G
Go, Grier, Go!
What a tough guy he is. Thinking of you every day and often during the day! Glad you got to meet the NB researcher. So much going on up there that we wish were taking place here.
Hope the rest of the week goes as well as the first.
Take care,
Martha M.
Hi Amy,
I'm glad that your second countdown has started and you are well underway. Meeting the researcher sounds good, I think thats great that he is out on the floor with the patients. I bet that keeps him focused on the task at hand. That's amazing that you have met so many other families right from Charlotte...it just goes to show you are in the right place.
On a silly note..creamed corn? That is so reminding me of Suite U and that terrible girl...what was her name? I can't believe I can't remember, but she always seemed to leave creamed corn in the sink! Blech! Make that child some corn pudding!
Glad day 2 is over. Hope tomorrow is quick and maybe you can get to Lenny's.
As always you are very close to our hearts,
Lots of love,

Hello Amy,
I thought of you today, and how amazing you are..coping with everything. I remember last year reading about your older son's baseball games, and I thought of you today...I realized at 5 p.m. today that Nicholas had a game at 5:30. Sadly, his uniform shirt was in the dirty laundy, right underneath Robert's PJs that had been wet the night before...YIKES. So off Nicholas went with his non-uniform shirt. Keeping life in perspective in St. Helena...Lots of love, Erin
Just realized that I read and didn't blog...
So glad another day is done and you're one day closer to returning home! Maybe not the worst that Grier is wiped out...sleep it off and ease the agony that you are surely feeling. So happy to know that you all are still out and about walking to lunch or dinner. Getting "fresh(?)" air helps clear your mind.
As always, you're in my thoughts and prayers non-stop...
love,
Dina
Thanks so much for all your updates. We're so pleased that the treatments are going so well. You know that Grier and your entire family are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Nancy Williams
