Grier finished his 3rd day of antibody treatment--- nothing really different --- pain was intense for awhile with his heart rate going up to 183 today--- Some may find this weird but we want to see some pain-- because it is very common with HAMA to have no pain at all and that means you probably HAMA'd again--- So far-- there has been a lot of pain--
He is still sleeping--AHHH! This round has really screwed up his sleeping pattern--- He finally woke up last night around 9pm and was ready to talk and play-- He ended up back asleep by midnight-- and woke up early.... 6:45am! Hopefully by Friday, we will get closer to a normal sleeping schedule again--
NYC weather has been great-- we have not had to wear jackets and it makes walking around so much nicer--- I wish he felt a little better so we could go somewhere besides MSKCC!!
2 more days to go-- :)

Awesome! Just watched the video. What a life you're leading right now. I am truly in awe at your stamina, grace and courage! What a fantastic visit that must have been for Grier to love baseball SO much and have that experience...tremendous! And now video footage to remember forever. As always, thank you for sharing your journey with so many. We love and adore Grier and your family and carry thoughts of you with us each day...to CCDS, FP-WDS, Covenant gym, YMCA, the soccer fields. Not a waking hour goes by that I don't pray and dream of a world without NB for sweet Grier.
Be well today as you continue the
3f8 treatment and know that love surrounds even all the way to NYC!!!
Love,
Dina
That is really cool - my younger son, Brad loves any kind of sports celebrity and would have been thrilled to meet him. I am glad you have the video to remind Grier of it when he gets older. I am glad this round of treatment seems to be going well. I hope you are enjoying this nice weather we are having in the Northeast - I hear it will be close to 80 degrees by Friday! We are hoping to get one more week of warm weather since the prom is the 25th and our older son, Jeff really wants a nice day for that and the beach trip they have planned for the 26th! I hope Grier sails through the rest of the procedures and you can be back in Charlotte with your family this weekend.

Great video -- I will make sure Mr. Slattery sees it! He is a HUGE Yankees fan, has Yankees stuff all over his office, wears a Yankees jacket to school, and received a pink Yankees onsie for his soon-to-be-born daughter -- Yankee logo on the front and a baseball on the rear end!!
Hope today went great -- you are over the hump and closer to coming home! Grier will definitely be out and playing/watching baseball when you get home -- today was gorgeous.
Thanks for your blogs this week -- they make all of us feel closer to you even though we are miles apart!
Go Grier Go!!
Love, hugs, and prayers,
Betty G
Loved the video. It is nice to know that they are making an effort to help all these wonderful children. I think they need you on their team because if anyone can make a difference it's you. I saw it with Scotty, all those years ago.
Glad it is Wednesday and soon you will be home.
As always in our hearts,
The Paine's
Glad Grier had pain today??!! If you say so! I sure do hope he's back on a regular sleep cycle by the time you return...playing until midnight is not so much fun when you're at home. However, Grier WANTING to play for 3 hours at this stage in the procedure is probably not all bad!
Happy to hear the weather has been cooperating for you all...I'm sure it's nice not to have to lug jackets, blankets, umbrellas, etc. Looking forward to seeing your car on East real soon! Also, hoping to play on the WDS playground next week if Grier's up for it!
Thinking of and praying for you...
Love,
Dina
