Happy Valentine's Day!! We had a really nice day at the hospital!! :)
3F8 went as well as it can--- he did have more than normal pain--- it is really amazing how each day is so different!! He slept for awhile at the hospital-- woke up with a terrible headache and then we left-- He finally came out of drug induced haze today at 7pm!! It has been a long time(since Sunday night) that I have heard his sweet voice talking about cars and such! He got a new "blue blackbird" car in the mail today and he thinks it is fast!!
Today we were told the next phase of keeping Grier NED (No Evidence of Disease)-- he will begin taking accutane-- he will take these pills for 14 days and then have 14 days off-- I guess I better start thinking how to get him to swallow pills! We will be back in NY the 10th to start the next round of 3F8-- Hopefully the two treatments together can keep NB away for the next 5 critical years-- NB relapse is so common! We will have to go to our clinic at home for blood work next Thursday-- but at least we will be at home!!
I had to laugh today about all the mail!! The front desk at the Ronald has been overworked with all the cards and packages coming to room 807!! They have hinted that all week to us as we have picked things up! We have so many cute cards-- and lots of hearts everywhere!! Thanks for thinking of him ! Grier passed out some Valentine's today to the nurses and a few friends!
Tomorrow is the last day of this cycle!! And he will have the needle removed from his port and be free from a line hanging down since March 30th!! I can not wait to see him without a tube!!!
Thanks again for everything--- AND before I forget... Thanks Andrea and Sean Smith for my surprise!!! I can not wait to use it-- I have walked by BLISS a lot during our walks and know exactly where it is--- That was so nice!!!

Happy Valentine's Day Grier, Amy and Jeff!
I am glad that the front desk is busy sorting your mail-the cards and hearts probably don't even measure up to how many people are thinking of you here in Charlotte. Karen and I managed to muddly thru the clothes show season without you-I can't count how may times we said "I wonder what color or size Amy would order-let's call her!" Please know you have been greatly missed here, not only for you being an awesome mall/lunch/dinner/movie buddy, but for you great laugh, smile, and great stories! We are counting the days to hearing them again. Hope the last day of this cycle is "uneventful". Can't wait to see Grier and all his hair!

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. Sounds like you had a good day,all things considered. I want you to know we have been talking allot about Grier in our class. We are all praying that he will be able to come back to school at some point so we can all visit with Grier.
Hope tomorrow is a quick and easy day so you can head home. We will all be so happy to have you back in Charlotte.
Love to all of you,
The Paine's
Happy Valentine's Day. We're so glad that it's been a good day. I'm glad that NYC know how special Grier is and how all your friends in Charlotte are constantly keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to your return to Charlotte in a few short days. Love, Nancy. Roger and Healey Dog, Lucas.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to you three in NYC!
So happy to hear of a good day, despite the pain! And I share your excitement of seeing Grier without a tube hanging -- a real treat for you on the day after Valentine's! I'm sure he will be excited too!
So glad the front desk was overwhelmed with valentines for Grier! Surely they know how cute and sweet he is, so they shouldn't be surprised at all his mail. I know he loved giving out valentines as much as getting them.
Grace came by this morning with cookies and a cupcake -- she and Maggie must have baked last night. They were yummy -- Cris thanks her too! I hope H&G had a great day here in Charlotte. Their best day this week will be on Saturday when you, Jeff, and Grier get home!
Hoping for a smooth day tomorrow, a hearty meal for Grier, a good night's sleep tomorrow night and a safe trip home on Saturday!
Love, prayers, and hearts to you on Valentine's Day,
Betty G
Glad you had a nice Valentine's Day! I know Grier loved getting mail and I am sure it was fun for y'all too. We continue to think and pray for all of you daily. Have a safe trip home --- see you soon and lots of hugs from our family to yours.
Love -
Pete, Sally and Molly
