We had a great weekend-- we were very busy with visitors, baseball, closet cleaning, soccer and vet visits for Tucker!!
Mrs. Leary came by this morning and made Grier's day-- we had a little preschool at our house! She brought a craft to make for Mother's Day ( Grace and Grier made it together after she left) and she brought a book on tape that he liked to listen to at school- he wanted to listen to that right away-- And she got to see the video of the class--
I learned a few nursing techniques this weekend from our home health nurse!! I made Grace, Hayes, and Grier laugh at my first attempt to get rid of an air bubble in the saline syringe--- I sprayed water in the air and got us wet!! After the quick shower I flushed the line and hooked it up to the pump that controls his TPN---
We go to the clinic on Wednesday and I am looking forward to that to see where we are with his counts--
Thanks again to everyone who is helping us-- especially with Tucker this week ( Anne & Susanne!!!)-- he looks and smells great-- we love his new haircut and so does my vaccuum! And his quick check up by Dr. Jimmy helped us so much--

Amy,
Glad to hear your weekend was full and uneventful as far as health is concerned. Can't believe the activity at your house lately...what fun! I need to meet Mrs. Leary...sounds like a gem! Preschool at home...where do I sign up for that? chuckle, chuckle
Let me know about dinner, anytime. Also, you know my beaten path...let me know when you might be in need of lunch, take-out style...happy to...would love to visit you!
Still haven't gotten to Target...hope to go tomorrow...offer's still out there.
Many prayers for Grier and lots of love to you all...

Amy,
So happy to hear about such a wonderful weekend of family fun. I can't seem to wipe the smile off my face just reading your comments of your nursing abilities. Don't you just continue to amaze yourself of what you can do!!!!
Many prayers continue to you and your beautiful family. So sad to be so faraway and unable to help. The best we can do is pray, seems to be the most powerful.
Go Grier Go!!!
Thinking of you all constantly,

Amy & Jeff,
So glad to hear that you guys are back home! I know Jeff, Grace and Hayes are so excited that you both are home. Grace sounds like a little mommy playing with him- I know they have missed him!!
You continue to inspire all of us. You always find the sunshine despite the rain. You are such an amazing person- you all are.
We continue to pray everyday, and my whole church in Raleigh is praying for Grier- he is on their prayer chain. Our pastor prayed for him & talked about him in church this morning and the whole church prayed for him again.
Grier is becomming quite the celebrity :). GO GRIER GO!

So happy for a great weekend and I know a great week to come! What a welcome relief for all of you! Saw lots of Go Grier Go hats at Cov this morning on both kids and adults -- love and prayers keep coming your way from everywhere! Will look for you in carpool and hopefully at the PTA program tomorrow night!
Hugs and prayers,

Amy,
It sounds like you are falling into a home routine! I can’t believe that Grier has been in and out of CMC and I haven’t gotten to see you. I am glad that you are back home again! Talking with Pat last week put a big smile on my face and really lifted my spirits! She said it was great to have the old Grier back!!
I was hoping to get to see you with the Bad Bees this past weekend…we ended up playing the green team instead. Maybe we will play you this weekend!
My parents have been in town from Florida (actually driving back and forth from Columbia) so things have been hectic. We have been to Columbia to visit them too. I also would love to bring lunch and/or dinner sometime.
I am very proud of and impressed with your nursing abilities! Our entire family continues to pray for all the Christenburys especially for healing for little Grier.
Love,
Troy
amy,
as i was helping hannah study for a religion test, i found an activity in her book that they can tell what they can do for friend/loved one who are sick. she made a tribute to grier, with her intention of saying 20 hail mary's for his healing and that she and owen want to play ball with him, and how they can't wait to see him at the ballfield. it was all bordered with go grier go! even the kids are lifting him up...may he continue on the path of healing! hoep to see you guys soon, and i am sure that you are a terrific nurse....we went to a college with a great nursing school..i am sure that is helping!
love and prayers,
ashley samuelson
Amy & Jeff,
Even though you don't know me, we have friends in common. I have been keeping up with Grier's progress through them. I have to say, you are handling this like a champ and there is such a peace about you when I read your updates. I will continue to pray for that cute little Grier and ask for His hand to be on your family but most especially for Grier's healing.
Go Grier Go!

Glad to hear about a good, crazy, "normal" weekend at home. How is Grier getting around? I know he was struggling to walk or even try...has that improved? Whitney and I are anxious to flirt with him again soon. Hope to see you at the ball field this week.
Can we start saying Jump, Grace, Jump?? We got some jumprope toy from McDonalds and the girls immediately said it was Grace! :)
