We are home!! Grier is doing well and taking a ton of medication-- We had a choice to stay tonight @ CMC and do some antibiotics tomorrow morning and a scan or go home with the possibility of coming back-- well-- We live too close not to choose home! At least we all will be sleeping in our own beds tonight ( except Grier--he seems to like my bed!) We will plan on doing a scan early next week as outpatient- and possibly start round 3 by next weekend--
He walked today and actually stood up by himself-- I think he is so much stronger and is not quite as scared-
We may go to the clinic tomorrow for more platelets-- if we do please say a prayer he does not get a fever after they are finished-- That would put us back in for a few days-- we know that drill all to well:)
Thanks for all the notes and visitors lately-- they made the time at CMC go by quickly-

You're home!!! That is wonderful. I hope you all get good rest tonight, that those antibiotics do their job, and that with the platelet visit tomorrow you are in and out of there in a flash. So glad to hear Grier did some walking, too. He is such a trooper!!!
Susan
Way to GO Grier GO!!!
So good to hear you are home again!! Hope you can stay there til the next round.
love the Baders
Dear Amy--
You and Grier deserve every moment's respite away from the hospital so I am glad to read that y'all are back home....and to be able to watch "Grey's Anatomy" from home too-- that's a plus...even if the show was a head twister. I trust that none of Grier's residents are as whacked out as that crew....if so, get them to tell you their stories as that could help time inpatient really pass quickly. :-)
Not a day goes by that you, Grier and your family are not on my mind. I saw a shirt today that read, "My mommy is my superhero," and you came right to mind. Right to mind! Superhero mom and a superhero little boy.
Love, Alex
Dear Amy & Jeff,
So glad you get to sleep in your own beds tonight!! Grier is smart- he knows the best place to sleep! So happy to hear that he is walking and standing- I know that must make him feel good too. Hope you have some restful days at home. I ran in a GBS race last weekend with Grier's braclet- he goes everywhere with me! You guys are all on our minds every day and in our prayers. Nolan keeps asking me- "Mommy, does Grier feel better today? I think chocolate would make him feel better". :) Take care and give Grier a hug from us- Love, Jennifer Hatley
So happy that you are home, Ames! I hope that today's visit to CMC is a good one and that you are back on Jameston in a hurry!
I bet Tucker was glad to have you home, too. He knows an ally when he sees one! And I certainly hope he still smells sweet.
Hug dear Grier and each one of your precious family, including Maggie for sure. You are in our hearts and prayers 24/7. Love to all, Susanne
I hope that your visit to CMC today will go well and that you'll be home again quickly!
You are all in our thoughts and prayers -
Cameron (Millie's mom)
