We are still in the hospital-- we are waiting on a lab tests that came up positive for gram neg in his lumen and then they can narrow down what type of antibiotic to give him-- he was on 3 IV antibiotics and 2 oral but we have dropped one of the IV antibiotics-- so we are just waiting! He got another platelet transfusion today and spiked a fever this afternoon-- He is having a horrible time with a diaper rash -- this is caused by c-dif, which he tested positive for on Monday-- needless to say there is a lot going on but he is feeling well and talking to nurses, bowling, watching movies, and listening to a new CD ( Roger Day!) He did crawl on the bed and tries to stand up to look in the mirror-- I am glad he is using his legs!!
Hopefully we will be out soon-- and we will know the date of the scan and round 3!!

Wow! He's got a lot going on in that little body! So glad he is his normal cheerful self and is moving around using those legs -- tell him to keep up all that wiggling, crawling, and standing. I'll have to stop by to see him bowling -- I bet that is a hoot! Know that I think about you and continue to pray for all the family every day!
Love,
Betty G
Amy,
Well, better at the hospital, once again, instead of at home when the fever returned. Hoping and praying that everything gets better in the next day or so and you all will get to head home...who knows, maybe a Friday discharge!!
Go Grier Go...move those little legs, buddy! Tell Grier that Mitch says "hi" when we pass the tower! He talks about Grier a lot and can't wait to play soon! Maybe Grier can introduce Mitch to TPN? We could use some of that!
I'm thankful that Grier is still talking and not too distracted with all of the "stuff" that's going on with his body...how resilient these little people are! Continuing our prayers and thoughts for your family!
Lots of love...
Dina
Hey, Amy,
I hope you got out of the tower tonight to see the Steel Fab team play. Hang in there...you, too, Grier. We are loving you and sending prayers, prayers, prayers your way. I hope Grier's little body starts to recover from all of the infections so that he can go home and watch the Bad Bees in their last game this weekend. Let us know how we can help. We love you all,
Nancy
Amy,
You guys are never far from my thoughts. I am sorry to hear that the hospital is still home but it sounds like that is the place you guys need to be!
I will continue to keep you all in my prayers!
Love,
Frances
Hi! Sorry to hear about the infections, but happy that they have identified them and able to treat! So sorry about his sweet bottom. Hope he feels much better once the antibiotics start their magic...and thrilled to hear he is still standing and walking.
Seeing lots of Grier bracelets and hats around town! Continuous prayers and love and support sent your way!
Hannah and family
I am glad to hear that Grier is still active. Sorry to hear you guys are still at CMC. Hoping you guys get home soon. Praying all goes well w/ the scan in the next week or so and his next round meds.
We pray for your entire family daily and send continued prayer and support from Charleston
