Our flight was cancelled yet again!-- I think I will wait to post that things are going as planned until we are in the air on Sunday!
On a side note-- Grier and I have been busy getting things done like car inspections-- and a trip to the DMV-- and while we were at the DMV-- the lady that was helping us said-- Oh-- how cute his hair has not come in yet-- my son was late to get hair too!!! I had to bite my tongue-- but then I decided ...she is going to know what a stupid comment she just made-- So, I said his hair has come and gone due to lots of CHEMO! Some people do not have a clue!
UPDATE-- With the help of my Aunt Linda-- we will be leaving for NY on Sunday @ 6:15pm on US AIRWAYS--- Jeff will stay the first week of 3F8 and then my mom will bring Hayes and Grace for the weekend and Jeff will take them home on Monday-- My mom will be with Grier and I at the Ronald during the week of radiation--
Grier Martin Christenbury(age 2 1/2) was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma on Tuesday, March 27, 2007- This blog is to help family and friends know how he is doing with treatments. Go Grier Go! www.caringbridge.org/visit/grierchristenbury

When you have time please post an address for Grier in NYC. We would love to send a card that would hopefully brighten his day and not be a chore for you to have to tote back to Charlotte.
Go Grier Go!
I am sorry for the bump in the road. Hopefully another flight will come about. We will put our prayer angels to work.
The buzz at First Pres today was how happy everyone was to read your blog. We are all praying and keeping high hopes.
We love you,
The Paine's
Sorry to hear of the change in flight status...it WILL work out for the best...always!
Since you've said in the past that you like funny stories, here goes. I had half of my thyroid removed shortly before I met you...Abby was just about 2 years old. The healing process was very long and the scar across my throat was red for some time. About a year after my surgery, Abby accidentally scraped her fingernails into my scar and it became red all over again. In the grocery check out, the girl at the register looked at me in horror asking, "What happened to your neck?" Before I could form my reply, she then asked, "Did someone cut your throat?" I couldn't believe that someone would say something so ridiculous...at least it seemed that way to me...however, some people say the darndest things. I was able to explain what had "happened" to me to which she had no clue...thyroid, huh? Anyway, I'm sure you've had quite an experience with Grier and his shortage of hair. And, I'm certain it won't end until he has his hair back again.
I have another story pregnancy-related; however, I'll save it for another time.
Thanks for Grier's address. We'll be busy putting our cards and drawings together for him.
Hope all goes well in the planning stages. Call if you need ANYTHING!
Tons of love...
Dina
If someone is still in the dinner scheduling business, would you post who we can contact if we would like to bring dinner by for the remaining Christenburys? We would like to help out while you're out of town...a little comfort food goes a long way!
All we hear about is kids yelling bad stuff from buses so to hear kids yelling "Go Grier Go" was way cool! Everywhere you go, people are cheering for Grier!
Hope another flight comes up really soon -- we're praying for things to continue to fall into place for you.
I passed your blog on to several teachers at ETES who had been asking about Grier -- everyone is very happy to hear the good news on the bone marrow and NB. Your family has touched so many people and everyone wants to know how he's doing.
Continue to enjoy your time at home -- glad mundane errands are fun for you and Grier!
Love and prayers tonight,
Betty G
I will be praying for Grier to have extra strength as he faces this piece of his treatment and for you to have extra strength to face it with him. He is such a little warrior!!! Please tell your mom that I would be happy to help her with Grace and Hayes if there is any "running around" to be done. I know that Grier will be thrilled to see the super sibs arrive in the Big Apple.
My constant prayers and love are with Grier and your family.
Go Grier Go!!
Mrs. D.
FANTASTIC!! Go Aunt Linda!
So glad once again things are falling into place.
Great plan on the timing...MLK weekend with the children and having your mom there for the radiation will be exceptional! You and your family are so blessed to have Maggie in your lives...I have enjoyed every conversation with her.
Here's to a good weekend before your exit and to safe travels to NY. Our many thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love & Prayers...
Dina
Happy to hear you worked a flight out. Dress warm,I hear the big apple is going to get cold.
Know that our hearts and prayers will be with you as you enter this next phase of treatment. Glad to hear Jeff and your mom will take turns. I am sure the super sibs will be happy to have their dad with them.
Maybe I will see you at Brueggers in the a.m I can only hope.
Sleep well and let me know what you may need.
Love,
Mary Ellen
