We made it through another day--- We left the RMDH at 6:45am!!! That is early for us :)
Good thing we are in a loud room because the alarm clock did not go off!!! I woke up to the sounds of NYC @5:30am!
Grier did great with his procedures-- 1 @ 7:45 and then another @ 1:45-- He was funny after the first round-- we came back and he kept asking for just 1 goldfish cracker!!! Finally we decided he could bring the whole bag with him so he could eat them when he was done with the 1:45 session!!! And guess what-- he slept until 4:00! I am also fasting until he can eat so I was ready for lunch and he was sacked out in the stroller!! I went to Lenny's and got us both a sandwich and he decided it smelled bad when he woke up!!! OH-- Grier the food critic!
Tomorrow will be much of the same-- I do hope he sleeps better tonight-- he was very restless and gagging a bit--- I asked them about it today and they said it was probably not the radiation yet-- The Dr. said it could have been just one of those nights he could not sleep--- Great!
We went to the mail box today-- and opened it up and he started singing... "we just got a letter" from Blues Clues-- it was funny!
We did the HAMA tests today-- it is just drawing a vial of blood-- we will know the results by Tuesday afternoon--
Grier told the nurses that the Giants are going to win the Superbowl-- I did not even know he knew they were playing!!! He also told her he was really good at golf and baseball! He is very talkative with them as he walks into the room --- he pushes the white medicine--- gets "dizzy" as he says and comes out of it OK-- Whew-- It could be a lot worse!

I am glad to hear you had a good day. I love the picture. It is so amazing to me how great he looks. I hope you can both get some rest tonight. Maybe one day being a food critic will really pay off. He can take you and Jeff around the world to all the best restaurants.
Hope the supersibs are doing well at home. It is suppose to rain tonight and it has been chilly here today. Carpool was very cold.
We will continue with our daily prayers for all of you. You are always close to our hearts.
Love,
The Paine's
I love the picture too -- how cute his smile is!!! I'm glad you and Grier had a good day and everything went according to plan. I bet Grier will breeze through the radiation -- he is so strong and resilient! You are so amazing with your blog -- I love following you and Grier so closely -- makes me feel good to know you had a good day.
You must be more comfortable with only 2 rather than 6 people at the Ronald this time. Glad you were on the loud street side of the building since your alarm didn't go off! And... hope Grier sleeps better tonight.
I hope tomorrow will be good, quick, and you get something to eat before 4:00!
Talked with Kim H today and Bill's recovery is coming along well. He is walking around their house as his exercise and big-time physical therapy starts tomorrow. She was back at CMC several hours after they left on Monday -- her son, Billy, broke his foot playing basketball!! She sent him to her daughter's house with his broken foot -- couldn't take care of both of them together!!! Can you believe it?
Sleep tight, love and prayers to you and Grier.

Always thinking about you, Amy! Glad the day went well (except for no food till 4:00 p.m. Yikes!)Thanks as always for your sharing what you're going through, good and bad! It makes us feel a real part of your "journey." Much love to all of you!
Martha M.
You and Grier are quite a team! I am so happy to hear that everything is going better than expected (?) thus far! I too am amazed how great Grier looks in the photo watching what looks (to a mom's eye) like "Cars." So thankful for smiles and energy!
Hope today is a good one. Thinking of you both non-stop hoping procedures go well, you have a great late lunch and a quiet night at the Ronald!
Lots of love...
Dina
Everybody sounds so happy in Thursday's blog. It was great to read.
On Saturday, Grace's basketball game is right after Hayes at Covenant, some of us from Hayes' team are planning to stay ... Grace will have a bigger than usual cheering crowd! We'll miss you and Grier.
Since Grier will be in NY for the Super Bowl I'm glad he's rooting for the Giants - it's always more fun to root with the home fans.
Hope it's a good game.
And we hope things continue to go well for you guys.

What a lovely shot of Grier! He has the best smile ... always has :)
So glad to hear that things are moving smoothly. You both amaze me every day with all that you endure and yet I know that you have a smile on your face just like Grier's (wonder where he gets it from?).
Hope you are staying warm in the big apple and that those noise New Yawkers don't keep you up at night. Tell Grier that Moussa is rooting for the Giants too even though Elias keeps rolling his eyes and telling him the the Patriots are going to win!
Big hugs,
Nibal
I think we need to add Dina to the SUPERMOM category -- her day did sound a lot like what you've been juggling for 9 months now. Glad another good day is under Grier's and your belt! Maggie's arrival will be the icing on the cake of a good week -- enjoy and take a much-deserved break with a warm Starbucks while she's there.
Wish you were home to enjoy today's weather -- warm enough to be outside playing baseball. Hope H&G both had good games today. I stopped by the Rec Wing to drop off Loaves & Fishes food and could hardly find a parking place between basketball and a funeral!
Are you, Grier and Maggie having a Super Bowl party at the Ronald??? Tell Grier I'm pulling for the Giants because he's a New Yorker right now(and I also like Eli). Hope you have fun relaxing and watching the game.
Cheers to you, Grier, and Maggie and know you are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Betty G
