Bone scan went well today-- Grier is becoming a pro at all of this-- I wish that was not something he was good at doing! But-- he does it with no complaining and actually helps the nurses give the meds for sedation- he went to recovery after the scan and woke up very nicely-- Susan brought him yogurt covered raisins and he ate those while we waited to go back up to the 7th floor :)
We still think we need to be in NYC by the 22nd-- may leave the weekend before----
Jeanna and friends wanted everyone to see the invitation for the family picnic this Sunday-- Any questions...please email jeannas@carolina.rr.com
I know it will be a blast-- I hate the 3 of the Christenburys will miss it-

Amy,
So glad the bone scan was without incident...Grier is amazing! Hopeful the results will be of a positive nature. Still praying that Grier's counts increase so Grier can get back to being himself and you can pack. Not sure how you are going to do this; however, I have no idea how you've done everything thus far...you're a "SuperMom!"
No need to apologize for missing this Sunday at Freedom...we know you need the best place for Grier is in NYC and we would all offer to take you if we were able. Our hearts and prayers will be with you, Jeff and Grier as you embark on this next phase!
With many friends here, your remaining family will be taken great care of and there will be no need for concern on your part. Tons of moms looking out for the "SuperSibs".
Love & Prayers...
Dina
Hope the plans move forward for NYC -- we'll celebrate on Sunday that you are on your way! Glad things went well today at LCH and Grier is so helpful to his caregivers!!! Even though we tell you the SuperSibs will be well taken care of, I know you'll worry about them and miss them terribly. Tons of Moms and ETES teachers will be watching over them for you. We love them too!
Thanks for the timely posts -- I check every day and am grateful for your faithfulness in keeping Grier's fans up-to-date.
Love and prayers tonight,
Betty G

Amy and Jeff,
Happy Grier did okay today. Know that you all are on our minds/hearts/prayers even more this week as you prepare for NY and your conference with all the physicians. We will miss you all so much on Sunday, but know that many photos/videos will be sent your way....and we will all be cheering for a successful and well answered visit.
Hugs, love and blessings!
