That was a fun day at the hospital!
We went to clinic at 9:30 today for platelets and possibly whole blood-- well he needed both! He is now "tanked up" for the weekend and the first of next week! When the transfusions finished the pumped "beeped" and he yelled "YES"-- and Dr. L thought that was funny!!
We left the clinic at 5:oo and Grier said-- That was a fun day at the hospital!! I started to laugh-- he was very entertaining today-- as you can see in the photo-- that is a costume he picked out of a box-- a Chicken !!
We are overwhelmed by the support we are getting yet again-- from friends, family, SimplexGrinnell, my Mother's office.. Rubins,Vagianos, Tolmie, Corsig,&Kerr, Covenant Presbyterian Church, First Presbyterian Weekday school-- the list goes on-- Thank YOU-- A special thanks to Jeanna Prevette, Mark Folk, the Bad Daddies, the middle schoolers at Covenant, Nancy Falls, Pat Taft, Derann Smoak for all the hard work that has gone on to prepare for Sunday in the park! I am sure there are people behind the scenes that I do not know about yet-- I can not wait to hear all about it and see the pictures!
I am adding something to the list of links-- I have a caringbridge page for Grier but I do not update it because of this blog--But when I am at CMC I have trouble getting on the blog because it is a blocked site-- I hope I will not have trouble in NYC but I will try to update both-- I am just going to copy and paste the same thing- So, if you notice no updates-- I may be having problems with the blog and check the caringbridge.com site-- Please leave us a message at either site-- we enjoy reading them! :) Here is the link...www.caringbridge.org/visit/grierchristenbury

Great Great Picture. I am glad Grier is in such good spirits. Glad he seems to be feeling well. Hope you are getting some rest.
Sunday is going to be great. All the people together who love you will be praying and sending positive thoughts up North. You may not have all of us in sight while you are there but I am sure you will feel the love in your heart.
Try to get some rest.
Thinking of you today and everyday.
Lots of Love,
The Paine's
Amy,
I am so glad that Grier had such a good day today and is ready for his trip to NY! I love that he picked the chicken costume!! (Thanks for the picture!) We just got back from a football game and Woods is beside me checking the bolg. He wanted me to scroll down and show him the pictures and said that the fort that Grace and Grier built looked really cool!! He wants me to find out how y’all made it.
All of the McCormicks are really looking forward to spending Sunday afternoon at Freedom Park. We will miss seeing you but will be cheering “Go Grier Go” with the Bad Daddies. We will continue to pray for God to place his healing hand on Grier.
We love you,
Troy, Ben, Sara Kathryn and Woods
Amy,
Just checked out the CaringBridge site and it's wonderful! Hoping you are getting some rest at home...I'm sure you're not as you continue the packing process and writing out list upon list for caregivers of Grace & Hayes. If you're anything like me, Pauls says I have to have all of the deckchairs in line before I go down with the Titanic...isn't that an aweful yet descript picture of me?
In any event we're thinking of and praying for you non-stop as you get ready, travel and have tests & meetings at MSKCC. Lots of love from our family to yours! We'll all be cheering tomorrow at Freedom for your family and sweet Grier!!
Love & Prayers...
Dina
Amy- Words fail to describe my admiration of you and Jeff. You guys and Grier will be taking Sloan Kettering by storm and everyone up there has quite a treat in store in terms of being lucky enough to meet you all! Best wishes and a big hug as you depart. We have a silly term of encouragement in our family which may see ridiculous to say, but here goes..... Knock 'Em Naked!! (Now that should be a sight.):-)
love, Alex
Sending you off to NYC w/chorus of angels! I love the new photos of handsome Grier! There is no doubt the New York medical team will love him!
Looking foward to the picnic tomorrow. Will have all the Christenbury's in our hearts.
Go Grier Go!
Hugs, as always...Susan L.
Amy, thinking of you all tonight as you get ready to head up to the big apple. You are in our hearts, in our prayers and constantly on our minds. Can't wait to hear what Grier thinks of NYC!
Love - all the Hendersons
Sorry we did not get by this weekend to see you all before the big trip. You know you are never out of our hearts and minds and we will be praying EXTRA hard next week! We love you all and as always are here for ANYTHING you need ANYTIME!
