It was a low-key Monday for all of us—Grier’s counts are good according to the Dr. and it looks like chemo is breaking down the neuroblastoma cells-- the side effects of the chemo come and go. He is eating—not too many “grow foods” as Mrs. Graybeal would say but “ skittles are green!” He surprised everyone and ate broccoli for dinner and some of Grace’s chicken- We can not get him to stand or walk yet- We were going to go on a wagon ride today and make a visit to the play room but he has to wear a mask to leave the room now and we could not talk him into putting a mask on—So, we stayed in our room! We tried every trick to get that mask on his face but he just would not try it—at one point during the day everyone (including stuffed animals) in the room had a mask except for Grier and Elmo (Grier said Elmo can not wear a mask because he did not have ears!!)
We are close to being discharged- the Dr. needs him to do a few more things so we are comfortable with him at home-
School starts tomorrow ☺-- I would love to be back in the ETES carpool line by Friday!!!

You were in our thoughts and prayers over the Easter weekend -- all the way in Tifton, Georgia! We are excited to read that Grier is taking steps in the right direction. Good luck with that mask. We pray this week will be a good one and that you will be in that ETES carpool line by Friday. GO GRIER GO!!!
Amy & Jeff,
So excited to hear of all of the news since Thursday as we have been out of town and out of touch. Hallelujah to answered prayer re: the break-up of the tumor!! I am so disappointed that I have not made it back to see you; however, we had fever issues last week, left town and now have coughing/congestion issues, par for the course, and do not want to pass anything on. Hope you're getting good rest at night.
I'm anxious to get bracelets for our family and many others...any word on how and where to get them?
Grier, you, Jeff and your families have been in our prayers and our every thought...GO GRIER GO!
Please let me know if I can do anything for anyone this week...we're back in town and ready to help!
Lots of Love and Prayers,
Dina Paul Abby Adam Mitch
Amy & Jeff,
Hi! We just want you to know that our family and MANY other families in Columbia are praying for y'all. We are so glad that Grier is responding to the chemo and trust that it will continue to be effective! May God comfort you with His presence & peace throughout the coming weeks and months...AND we pray that Grier will beat this cancer!
Love,
Kelly and Jeannie McCormick

Amy,
I bet Grier thought you all were crazy with those masks! Sorry you are still stuck in that room.I can't believe you got broccoli in him. Go Amy Go. Go Mom GO. You are amazingly strong. Believe it.

Amy, Jeff, Hayes, Grace and Grier,
We thought about your family while we were in Texas on Easter Break. We went to visit Sharon and Steve Moore and their four children (they used to live in Dilworth). Dillon (their only son) is a cancer survivor! He went through nine weeks of chemotherapy at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital last fall. Hundreds of folks prayed for him, just like they are praying for Grier. Today, Dillon is a healthy, happy, goofy 12 year old (just like before cancer) and we are hoping for the same miracle for Little Grier. Your update on him was very encouraging. Can't wait to catch up with you and Jeff at the ball field. Love ya,
Lynn, Brent, Avery, Drew and Owen
Amy:
