Grier felt the same today-- we are still waiting to hear why he is getting sick. My mom ended up leaving early this morning because she did not feel well-- and Jeff spent the afternoon with Grier while I went to ETES extravaganza-- It was fun!! Hayes and Grace really had a good time and it felt good to be outside doing normal activites-- Jeff is staying with Grier in the hospital tonight and I am with Hayes and Grace at home-
We went to the dinner tonight and the waiter told us that our check had been paid for by another party in the restuarant-- So, thanks to whomever did that for us!!-- We are overwhelmed by the support we are getting from everyone--Whew-- it makes me speechless-- and that does not happen much!!
I am going to post some pictures of a few things that people have given us in honor of Grier-- GOTR did a plant at ETES and CC Knights baseball team took a picture with everyone wearing Go Grier Go bracelets--

Dear Amy and family, I had lunch with Derann Smoak yesterday and she filled me in on some of the latest news on Grier. You have such great support and love from everyone.I know you can feel it. A million hugs to all of you. Susan Shanus
Dear Amy and Jeff, I just wanted to let you know that we are still thinking of your family and praying for all of you here in Raleigh. You are on our churchwide prayer list and our women's prayer team prays for Grier every Thursday night when they meet. There is also a church in MO that is praying for Grier! We think about your guys daily and check the blog for updates. I am really not sure if you remember me or not from working with Jeff at Grinnell several years ago, but just wanted to you to know we are behind you 100%.
Take Care,
Susan Stone
Dear Amy and Jeff,
The twins came to school the other day wearing their Go Grier Go shirts. I asked Trish what they meant and she told me about Grier. She forgot we went way back. When she told me the first thing I thought of was the little boy Scottie from Park Rd. I thought about how kind and caring you were to him. You bought him shoes and clothes and made a difference in his life. I am sure God will protect and take care of Grier just the way you did of Scottie.
Please let us know if you need anything. The girls want to babysit or anything else you may need.
We are here for all of you.
Lots of Love,
Steve, Mary Ellen, Sarah and Elizabeth Paine
Dear Amy and Jeff, We are praying for Grier and the Christenbury clan each and every day. You are on the prayer list at Myers Park Pres. and being lifted up by so many! Love to you all- Liza, David, Jackson and Annie Sippe
Hey there!
Thinking of you all weekend. I went 'home' this weekend to see my parents. (It drives Charles crazy that I still call Winnsboro, 'home'! :)) Home will always be where your parents are, right? My parents and sisters asked about Grier, and are all still praying for him as well.
Praying hard that Grier will get to go back home again soon...to the place and people (and dog!) he loves the most.
Hang in there. I will call tomorrow to see if I can bring a late lunch again? Many blessings and prayers and smiles sent your way.
Love, Hannah, Charles, Virginia, Charles and Brown
Good Morning, Christenbury clan,
We are hoping that no news over the weekend is good news and that Grier is feeling better and gaining strength to take him into his next round of treatment. Amy, I hope you got an overdose of sunny skies over the weekend before you have to go back "in" for a few days. Good luck this week. My prayer is for Grier to tolerate the chemo and to get back home. We'll check in a little later. Love to you all,
Nancy
Amy,
I didn't want to bother you today as I believe Grier began round 2 today. I'm hoping to obtain some new info at soccer tomorrow. Hope today was okay and that tonight is without incident. Glad you caught up on some much needed rest this weekend. Hope your mom is feeling better.
Mitch and I went in to visit with Jennifer/therapist today. I quizzed her further on the way to go about PT. She says that you need to have your oncologist or in-patient therapy (maybe not the paper taper) give you a prescription for out-patient therapy between chemo sessions. If you need anything else, I am happy to help; however, Jennifer said you are welcome to call her or stop down to see her (M-Th). Let me know.
Hoping and praying you all are home by week's end! As always, happy to help if you need anything.
Lots of love...
Dina
