Grier is finally feeling better!! The nausea stopped after adding a new medication.
He had a busy day playing games, going on walks in the wagon, watching The Wonder Pets, and talking on the phone to Susan and Maggie. Anne spent the day with us entertaining Grier. She was our own Child Life person today! —Grier felt so good that he even talked to the nurses today—some of them had not heard him talk since we checked in a month ago—at one point he told Dr. L “ I not sick, I feel better.” He is still getting TPN but he is also eating as well—he looks like he has gained some weight ☺ We will start the next round of chemo tomorrow (Tuesday, May 1st). He is going into this round of chemo stronger than last time so our hope is that it will be easier on him with less side effects-

Just remember that prayers reach over long distances. Grier and your entire family are on the prayer lists for so many Louisiana churches!
So happy to read that Grier is feeling better and having a little bit of fun at CMC! We will be thinking of you all tomorrow and hoping that the chemo can go as well as can be expected. I am seeing Go Grier Go bracelets all over town. There are so many people praying for all of you!
Will look forward to hopefully hearing some more good news about Grier!
Love,Posey
Dear Amy-
I am glad to hear that Ming-Ming, Linny and Tuck are being enjoyed in Rm #7925. Do you not hear them singing when you close your eyes at night? A good thing or a bad thing? Hmmmm. :-) Nothing like a little "teamwork" to save the day huh?
I am also glad to hear that Grier is coming from such a place of strength as he heads into round #2. You know where he absorbs that from don't you? You!! (and the TPN too but really, YOU!) You have been a steamroller of strength for him and he feels that energy. Will continue sending prayers and positive vibes your family's way. You are never, ever far from our thoughts. Love, Alex
We started planting our Go Grier Go Garden during Sunday School on the Two's playground at Covenant - we had a bunch of kiddos this weekend (more than our usuals) and they all said "we see Grier's picture on the computer" and "we love Grier" - and of course they loved getting dirty during sunday school! It was very theraputic for all of us. We are going to keep adding flowers through the whole month of May and will send pictures to share with Grier and hopefully some of the flowers we grow!
We said a prayer today as we drove by the hospital after preschool and pray for more good days to come - The Van Nort's
Hi from the Shimps--
What great news that Grier is going into this next treatment talking, eating, and feeling more like himself!!! Hope you're able to get some sleep these next few nights in the hospital, too.
Go Grier Go!!!
Lots of love,
Aubrey, Henry, Parker, Susan and John
Oh what great news! So glad to hear Grier is feeling a bit better especially as he goes into the next round of treatment. Sending you lots of love and prayers and strength (not that you need more of that!).
Love to you all.
The Henderson Five :)
Dear Friends,
You don't know me, but I wanted you to know you're in my thoughts and prayers every day. I heard about you from my sister in Fort Mill and have been following your "story" ever since. What an extremely precious family you have. I pray that you all will remain strong and know you are surrounded with love and support. As a mother of 3 I can't imagine what you are experiencing. Keep smiling and loving those precious children. I look forward to much good news in the days ahead. Go Grier go!
We are so happy to hear and read about Grier's good days. We hope and pray for many, many more.
GO GRIER GO!
Love- The Haydens
Well, again I'm responding twice on the same update; however, I want you to know how much we're thinking of Grier and hoping for a better round this time.
Saw Jeff, Hayes and Grace at practice and spoke with them. Jeff says that Grier was still "himself" today...fantastic! Apparently, dinner at the hospital is still pretty trendy. Jeff said he was going to take my word and have the cheesesteak...it really is a good one! You'll have to get back to me. Nothing like it with the fries with the seasoning to shake on. Abby & Adam are still talking about going back...crazy kids!!
Hope you're having restful nights with caring nurses! Thinking of you so often and passing on lots of love to you...
Dina
Amy and Jeff!
Yeah Reglan and TPN!!
Delighted and thrilled to hear he is becoming a Chatter Box again. I know that makes your heart so happy, to hear his sweet voice and comments, wants, needs, etc...
Praying round #2 goes much better and that it will do it's job!!
Love and prayers!
Hannah, Charles, Virginia, Charles, and Brown
