OK- here is the update for Wednesday, Grier’s counts are up to .4—he received platelets late in the afternoon. We had a visit from Mrs. Leary again and she brought a book made by his preschool class – it was the cutest poem with pictures of everyone. We have looked at it a lot—and if you came to visit yesterday I probably showed it to you!
He is not talking and not eating—we have taken a vote and we think he looks like Brittney Spears-- And yes we watched Idol—Grace is glad Sanjaya is gone-
Today we got news that his counts are .9—so we are going in the right direction—but it is not the counts keeping us in here—he needs to drink—so when we go home again I can give meds and he can stay hydrated—
That is it for today—I did hear Drew is going home—that is great—Hopefully we will too soon!!
Thanks again for all the notes, blogs, and visits, and everything else ya'll are bringing-- :)

I am so glad to hear Grier's counts are going up. Amy, Jeff, and Maggie---you have been so magnificent throughout; I am in awe. I continue to keep you all and Grier close to my heart, and in my prayers, as I know how hard it is sometimes to keep things as normal as possible for the whole family. Going home will be good, and I hope that's soon possible!
Love,
Lee
Amy,
FANTASTIC NEWS...so delighted to hear that the counts are on the rise! Maybe this will help heal the mouth sores and get the ball rolling as far as food and liquids. You let me know when he's ready for Ben & Jerry's...I'll be the first in line to get it to him.
Mitch says "hi" to Grier every time we pass now. He said that Miss Kathy at Charlotte Junior Gym has a "Go Grier Go" bracelet on and that she's Grier's friend too! The numbers are growing...several more folks have mentioned my wristband this week...it's good to know so many people notice and care about Grier and your family!
I look forward to visiting again; however, my throat has been a bit scratchy the last day or so...could be allergies, but I don't want to risk anything now that home is a little closer for you. Can't wait to see you...maybe on the soccer fields this weekend...we'll be at Freedom at 9:30am near the tennis courts. I'll look for you!
As always, call me home/cell if you need anything!
Love and Prayers!
Dina
Amy-
I am thrilled to hear that Grier’s counts are on the way up!!! I am going to try to come by tomorrow to visit. Hopefully he will be eating and drinking by then and you will be packing up for home:)! Please let me know if there is anything I can bring. We continue to pray for Grier, Grace, Hayes, Jeff and you every day.
Love,
Troy
Amy,
you need to post a picture so we can see the "brittney spears". Hang in there.
Amy and Jeff,
Happy to hear the counts are going in the right direction. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with you. Let us know if we can ever help in any way.
Every good wish,
Mike
How do you get a "Go Grier Go" bracelet?
Thanks ... Mike
Never mind, I discovered how to get a bracelet.
Amy you are amazing. Your patience and compassion with all that's on you is awe inspiring. Thank you for your expertise on the CMC experience during Jack's surgery and stay last night. How you could be thinking about being such a good friend to someone else right now amazes me!
Grier maybe a Brittany look alike but no one has those beautiful eyes he does.
