Just a quick update—
We have had an unusual week—Monday we spent half the day at the clinic—that is the last time I updated this blog!! And here is what has happened since… Tuesday was a good NORMAL day for us—Grier and I went to get new crocs for him—and then came home picked up Hayes and Grace at Elizabeth and went to soccer practice--- and we ended the day watching Hayes and Steel Fab play baseball--- then in the middle of the night (why do kids seem to get sick then??) He started throwing up—we went back to the clinic on Wednesday and got fluids and zofran—They thought he had a virus. After spending 4 hours we went home and Grier slept—until he started getting sick again—we went back to the clinic today (Thursday) and they did more fluids and zofran and admitted us!! So we are in CMC again getting TPN (nutrition in a bag) through his port. He has lost a lot of weight—he weighs 23 lbs vs. the 30 he weighed a month ago-- We may be here until we end chemo sometime next week—but do not quote me on that since things seem to change- We are not in the same room as last time… we are now on the oncology pod-
Grier Martin Christenbury(age 2 1/2) was diagnosed with stage IV neuroblastoma on Tuesday, March 27, 2007- This blog is to help family and friends know how he is doing with treatments. Go Grier Go! www.caringbridge.org/visit/grierchristenbury

From FPC WDS:
Go Grier Go! your friends at FPC are talking about your good nature and sneaky smile every day. Put up a good fight, because we miss you!
From your friends at FPC WDS!
Mrs. Leary, Mrs. Wisenor, Ms. Whiteside, the class in C101, and everbody else.
Boo Hoo that Grier had to go back so soon when you were having fun and doing well at home! I know you are more comfortable at CMC if Grier isn't feeling well and there he can get the extra nutrition he needs to fight harder!! The Presbyterian Women on retreat this weekend will be thinking about and praying for Grier and your family! GO GRIER GO!!
Love to all of you,
Betty G
Hey there!
Blantons are sad to hear about this. We are glad to hear he is getting great nutrition and hope that the TPN will give him more energy and to start feeling better soon!
Still praying and thinking of you all every second of the day. Sending love and support to you.
Hannah, Charles, Virginia, Charles and Brown
Sorry to hear you are back. I was just smiling reading about your few normal days of games, school and just being out and doing! We pray you may have a chance to get home for a night before you start treatment on Monday.
We will continue to pray daily for strength for Gier and all of you!!!
Go Grier Go!!!! Amy, you are an amazing reminder of the strenghth of a Mother. I can remember when Athan was struggling people would ask me how I do it. You just do it,this is your child. I want you to know I am sure you have many moments but you are doing this with such Grace and Love. What an amazing example you are to all of us!
Thinking of you constantly,
Stephanie Gillespie
Hi Amy,
I hope that Grier is feeling a bit better today and that the TPN will build up his strength for the next treatment,
ALL our LOVE, THE BADERS
GO GRIER GO!!!
Amy this is just not fair. I wish you could have stayed home at least a few more days. I hope you find the source of the GI problems and that you are both able to rest some. I know that is hard in the hospital. How is it on the new ward? Run off any nurses yet? Ha ha. I can say that because I am one!
Oh, Grier...the weather is going to be perfect for being outside this weekend, so I hope you feel well enough to take a wagon ride down the greenway! I am so sad that your tummy is upset and that you had to go back to the hospital, but I hope the TNP helps you get strong and mighty, just like the song we sing at church says..."Our God is so good, so strong and so mighty, there is NOTHING our God cannot do - for YOU!!" We are praying for you, Buddy and loving all 23 pounds of you, but we need to fatten you up so I can kiss those bare, little feet again! As Lucy would say, you ARE the cutest little boy in the world! We love you!
