It is hard to believe that everything started without any delays!!! Yeah!
We got to the hospital last night around 8pm... it was VERY quiet on the floor!! They started hydration and Grier had a snack and then went to sleep!
The Dr. came in early this morning and by 9--- he started chemo! It is a little different this time... vincristine was pushed in his port... then they hung topetecan (30 min).. and finally cytoxin ( 6 hours).
My mom ended up staying for the day and I went to shop for Christmas-- that was short-lived... I am exhausted! So, I came home and took a nap!
I hope all goes well tonight and we can keep the side effects away!!

Glad things ran smoothly. You deserve it. Sorry to hear your day of shopping was not successful. Maybe you need to be in the heart of all the chaos. Maybe like December 23rd.
I am here if you need help. I am a really good shopper. Please let me know if you need anything.
We will pray for smooth sailing. GO GRIER GO.
As always you are in our hearts and prayers,
The Paine's
Amy,
We were out of town for a week and are just now catching up! Mighty glad to hear that last night and today went well. We'll hope the rest of the week goes as scheduled!
You're ALWAYS in our prayers. Go, Grier, Go!
Martha M.
Amy,
Glad to know everything is going well thus far! I am so hopeful that Grier will do well and you all can head home on Wednesday.
Saw Jeff at Covenant with Hayes having a good time on the court. They were able to witness Arlene's massacre on myself and another unsuspecting subject...brutal. Jeff said he was heading up this evening...hoping you'll get a bit more relief.
So glad you got a nap today. I have been overwhelmed with the thought of Christmas, timing, shopping. I am so messed up with Thanksgiving being a bit early and everyone decorating after Halloween...I don't know which end's up. It's crazy! Hope you were able to get a bit done so you won't be so overwhelmed later in December...let me know if I can help.
Enjoy some rest tonight and know we're thinking of you here in our house/hearts!
Love & Prayers to you ALL...
Dina
Hope things keep going as smoothly as today, and I'm so glad you got a nap - you deserve it! Go Grier!

Amy and family,
Just read allof the blog to catch myself up and I am astonished at all that Grier and your family have been through.
Please know as I am sure that you do that there are so many thoughts and prayers just for your family. I hope that each one touches you personally and that it eases some of your pain and anxiousness. Think of these as individual kisses and hugs that hold on to you for dear life. Abigale has ask how Grier is doing and I explain to her how much love he has going to him and she knows that this is the best medicine!!
Please always keep your open heart and accept all of the love that is coming your way and always try to smile so that only positve energy will surround you!
Our love and prayers,
Sandy and Abigale Speight
So happy to hear that things are going right today after the unexpected fever last week! You all deserve for everything to go exactly right, but of course that doesn't happen, does it? Life would be too easy -- You and Jeff are masters at handling whatever comes your way extremely well and you continue to be an inspiration to me every day!
Glad you got out for a while for some shopping -- it doesn't seem so important when you have Grier at LCH. God, friends, and family have given you all the gifts that count the most -- countless prayers, more love than you can know, and 3 precious children. The gift of love is the greatest of all and you have given more than you know to all of us and been showered with more than you'll ever know in return. Love doesn't count with children though, does it???
Prayers for continued smooth sailing for Grier tomorrow and Wednesday and love to you all,
Betty G
We are glad to hear that everything went well and you guys can look at getting home and back to what you know as normal. We are thinking and praying for you all. We are off to the hospital today to have baby 3.
Hope to see good news when I return.
