Since I am not sleeping -- I thought I would update the blog again--
Shift change has helped- But he is still vomiting so they have ordered an abdominal x-ray to see if there is a blockage or ileus?? Crystal will be so impressed I brought this up-- I remember that from late April! Who knows when they will come to get us-- sometime early am is my guess-- too bad they moved us out of POU! The surgeon mentioned discharge tomorrow or Sunday-- but I really doubt that will be happening- :)
I have been wrong about how fast we are moving so far so we will see-- being at the Ronald all together will be nice-- I am a little tired of walking the streets by myself! Hopefully they will come soon and figure this out so we can get some rest-

Amy,
I am sorry that Grier is so sick to his tummy…you are right…not what you want to have after abdominal surgery. And a semiprivate room is no fun at all. Clearly you are not getting any rest and now more quick big decisions to make. You have a lot going on…Dr. L is the perfect one to help you make these important decisions. We will be thinking of and praying for Grier this morning as he has his x-ray. I hope they are able to get the vomiting under control and that today is a better day.
Still thinking of you nonstop and hoping that you will all be back together at the Ronald soon.
Love,
Troy
So sad that you are not getting the rest you need. Hospitals/docs/nurses need to think about the family when putting kids in uncomfortable semi-private rooms! Also sad that Grier is not settled and is having tummy trouble -- hope the x-rays don't show any blockage and that he will stop vomiting soon! That little trooper has enough to deal with without vomiting -- yuck!
Hope Dr. L gets back to you soon to help make some of those big decisions. Hope Grier gets discharged soon, but not until you are ready. The Ronald is better than the semi-private he's in now!!
Take care today and know you are in my heart and prayers.

Amy,
You are awesome...your mentors at CMC/LCH would be so proud! You have learned well and are quite a pro at all this...I'm not convinced that's a good thing for the most part.
Hopeful today's excitement comes in the form of sleep for everyone!
Love & Prayers...
Dina
Deep breaths my friend. I wish time could stand still for a liitle bit and allow you some sleep. I think that would help with the overload of information. If you are not ready to make some decisions, tell them. I know that probably is much easier to "write" then do. Praying for you and some calmness in this very crazy part of your journey. Deep breaths. Victoria
