Grier was discharged today from Sloan-- He is taking dulcolax :) and that can be done at the Ronald just as easy as the hospital room!!! I heard they had a room crunch so he was moved out-- Thank Goodness- I know he will be able to recover better in a quiet room with much noise-- He has already had some batting practice in the room-- He is hitting "home runs" with his Mets gear! Sorry-- Boston fans-- I have tried!!!
We are scheduled for a clinic /post-op appt. on Tuesday ( only day the surgeon has clinic appts)-- then we will be on our way home pending a flight plan from corporate angels~ We are a few steps closer-- :)
Looks like we will have another busy weekend wit ha visit from Hayes, Grace, and Maggie!
Hopefully Grier will be up to venturing out of the Ronald-
Amy
PS-- I didn't know my bingo comment was going get so many people offering games-- Please do not send anything else here-- we are being over taken by toys :) Don't worry Grier will know how to play soon enough-- I bet we have one in our game closet too!!
Everyone has been so generous-- thanks so much!! He loved opening the boxes when we got back to the Ronald today!!

That is all awesome news. Hoooray!!! Prayers will continue. Hope you have a great weekend. I can't believe it, but see you soon. Victoria
O Happy Day -- back at the Ronald with a window on the world! Grier can sit by the window and look for fire trucks, buses, cabs, etc. I am so happy to hear of Grier's discharge today and the beginning of a more normal family life -- sleeping peacefully without all the noise and interruptions. Can he get that turkey sandwich and KK yet???
Even if you don't get out much this weekend, maybe Maggie can entertain Grier (or the other way around!!) at the Ronald and you and Jeff can enjoy Grace and Hayes! Grier will probably recover by leaps and bounds once the SUPERSIBS and SUPERMAGGIE come to town! Isn't it nice that CMS planned these Mondays off knowing that you needed them to get your family all together???
Enjoy the quiet tonight -- the tag teaming is a thing of the past. We are very excited to think that you will be home next week (maybe???). I know you are counting the days -- won't it be wonderful to be back in carpool?
Warm hugs and continuous prayers to you three together at the Ronald tonight!

Hey Amy and Jeff,
I am coming up to NYC for the long weekend with my two roommates and Melanie. We are meeting up with Kyle at some point and I would love to see you guys. If you want to meet and have dinner or lunch, or whatever then call me Amy. We have show tickets on Sat. afternoon and evening, but other then that no plans. I will completely understand, however if you decide not to try and meet up. I know you guys are hoping to get outta the big apple the first of next week. I will be praying that you get back home to Charlotte sooner then later. Glad to hear you are back in your room with a view. You are all in my prayers everyday.
Love you all,
Debbie

Amy,
Awoke thinking of you all this morning hoping you got a good night of sleep in your quarters with windows and no company! What a lot for a little person to go through...so many changes in people, scenery, doctors, amenities, etc...so glad you are all together now!
I know you're looking forward to your visit this weekend with Hayes, Grace and Maggie...we'll all look forward to sharing pictures when you post them. So hopeful that Grier continues down his amazing road to full recovery and is able to join in on the weekend's fun!
Thinking of you all and praying for a warm family weekend in the Big Apple! Keeping our thoughts focussed on Tuesdays clinic visit that everything will check out well and you can get back to Charlotte.
Love & Prayers...
Dina
